Why Desi Disrupt
Desi: a word that is used to describe the people, cultures, and products of the Indian subcontinent (specifically India, Pakistan, Bangladesh) and their diaspora.
Disrupt: refers to a company or form of technology that causes radical change in an existing industry or market by means of innovation.
We built Desi Disrupt because we believe in the need for South Asians to be given a platform to better inform, inspire, and contribute to the tech and finance ecosystem.

Hi! I am Faeez. I have an interest in international finance, with a focus on leveraging capital and tech to improve financial inclusion and advancing economic development. I am a Second-Year Analyst at Blackrock in their Aladdin Trading Team. Prior experiences include stints across impact investing, venture capital, startups, asset management, think tanks, and academic research. My hobbies include Boxing, Tennis, Writing, Bollywood (huge SRK Fan), History, and Chai Chats (so don’t hesitate to reach out!).
